HOW do you find out what someone truly thinks of you.. over the years we were asked " do you go to the local pub ?. " . simply say. used to. but we were banned !! and wait. their response will tell you all you need to know.
A few years back when the smoking ban came in.
We stopped going to pubs, cafes etc .
Got fed up standing outside in the rain.
So when asked the question. We/I simply wait.
WHY, were you banned. And before you can reply.
We're you fighting?
Did you get caught stealing?
Etc
Etc
Answering " no"
Simply, smile as they get angry with us/me.
Saying "why ,then."

Things went strange yesterday.( Long story).
The I remembered something he had said when we first met. He is friends with a copper.

At various people, From her family to my family.
Dr's, nurses, etc etc etc.
Swearing and crying as they said over and over.
( Even up to a few days before she Died).
How CAN you be happy living in this thing ( from Molly to tents, caves to boats. ( Our simple happy homes).
How can you be happy, living like a tramp!!!!.
How can you be happy living with HIM !!!!!.
How can you be HAPPY etc etc.
( Biting my lip, so I didn't get jailed and she DIED in a PROPER home etc etc etc.

Was reading this wee book. Mel loved to write. She was self taught. ( long story). but another thing I admired about her.).
Often and I mean often. 1,000,'s o times people have said. You two should write a book.
Smiling as Mel was sat writing. I would reply. We are and we love it.
Balanced diet, often we/I get asked, what do you do for food. do you eat a balanced diet. will always reply.
Often living in an old bus etc. especially when we're miles from shops etc..
How do you get food, my favourite question is
" Do you eat a balanced diet? It's really important?".
My usual reply:
"Aye, of course.
And totally agree.
Every day.
We eat a vegan ( not too keen, can be quite bitter)
With 2 vegetarians ( ma gran always said veg was important.)
And huge meat eater.

( We knew him for years. I simply asked him after a visit. When he left our home. " Please don't go on about how much you hate the English).
He attacked me. With a tin of paint.
Result
Concussion for 10 days.
Result after speaking up. Silence.
Attacked twice by a guy down the road. Second time there was a witness.
Police arrived.
Result, nothing. They convinced me not to press charges. I then phoned them up and told them I had changed my mind.
Got a phone call to say they would call back.
That was weeks ago.
Result Silence.
A few other things have happened but can't be bothered writing anymore.
Travellers justice. Does not exist.
Then we're told shut up. Or move on..
Fuck that we say. We will speak out louder.

Travellers tale. We set off to find work. Headed from Exeter to Newbury. in 2 days we were stopped by Police over 30 times. Discrimination, bating,abuse etc. Mel and Dylan Angry and Scared were no that daft. We made it. Mel got a carerijob at Stockcross Newbury. Me Woodcrafts. Still living that way. Maybe more tired.
